According to many so called experts and other TV-seriers enthusiasts, Fear The Walking Dead has been having a hard time standing on its own two feets. But why is it that the spinoff has been having such difficulties creating its own atmosphere.
I will represent some of the reasons I believe has caused Fear The Walking Dead to stand in the shadow of The Walking Dead:
- I think they lag on explaining and visualizing the in-between stages from the outbreak early on in the show – something we expect to be explained since it is only secondary in The Walking Dead.
- The roles of the characters in Fear The Walking Dead are not thought through. The are way to simplified and gives you the feeling that the show could easily do without them (obviously not all of them).
- This point relates to the point mentioned just before, where to much of the plodding is just an abundance of indifference.
- When you name the series FEAR The Walking Dead the last thing you can leave out of the show is fear.
