A short comparison

Studying transmedia storytelling what always pops up as a subject for discussion is whether the mothership of the franchise stands out being better and more original than the successors.  This has obviously been no difference to The Walking Dead.

I will present to you some of the most interesting points regarding differences between The Walking Dead the TV series and The Walking Dead comics.

Since we just recently posted a blog about Carol I will start out sticking to that very same topic.

1. Carol the killer
In the TV series Carol has been made in to a stone cold killer who has nothing on her mind but putting bullets in peoples head. Unlike Rick, who she is obviously attracted to in comics by the way, her appearance on screen seems cooler than the one in the comic books. In the comics she is more of a nut job.

2. What is wrong with the word “zombi”?
In the comics the characters do refer to “zombies”, however, in the TV series this exact word is pretty much absent. They are instead referred to as “walkers”.

3. Rick better stick to the TV series
If Rick had to chose I am sure he would go with the TV series, since the producers have aloud him to keep his right shooting hand. In the comics it is cut off by the Governor. That is bad luck Rick. Prepare yourself for an on-screen career.
